Treetops Glisten - Sizzix Christmas Handmade Card

Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my happy place! I hope you're having a wonderful and creative day.

With Christmas fast approaching I think that it's time for me to play with my Christmas dies from Sizzix UK and this is my first card.

For today's project I used the Sizzix Thinlits Die - Treetops Glisten designed by the amazing Pete Hughes (love his designs!!).

First I prepared a light blue panel and I ink blended Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks to get a wintery night sky. For more effect I added white splatters all over the panel, representing falling snowflakes.
Next I cut some snow hills from white cardstock and gold glitter paper and glued them to the panel using glue and craft foam. On the snow hill, I stamped a sentiment in VersaMark and gold heat embossed it.

Then I die cut the tree from white cardstock multiple times and stack them together using liquid glue. Next I glued the tree to the panel and I added two little banners (one white, one gold) in the corner to tie everything together.
And my Christmas card is all done and pretty!

There is a new event at the Sizzix blog called Be Inspired Christmas! and they have also created some absolutely gorgeous and festive FREE PAPER DESIGNS (you need to enter your email address) which can be downloaded and printed to use on your Christmas cards, decorations or any other projects you have in mind for the Holidays.
