LDRS Creative - October Feature Day 1
Hello everyone and welcome to our Fall and Halloween Feature!
For the next two days, the Design Team has created gorgeous projects to inspire you with the latest Fall collection that is now available in a local craft store near you!
We are talking about...
The A View for All Seasons Stamps (with a perfect coordinating die set), Woodland Wonderland Stamps (also with a coordinating die set available), and No Matter the Weather Stamps.
Some amazing Halloween High Jinks Stamps (cut out in no time with the coordinating die set), Happy Haunting Stamps (with a perfect coordinating die set here), and one of the new Petal Pusher sets, Pick of the Patch (and its die set)!
We also continued adding to our wonderful Basic dies line: In the Breeze Die Set, Down Main Street Die, and Over the Hills Die. Not to forget Up a Tree Die Set, Garden Gateway Die Set, Garden Wreath Die Set. They fit with all of our products, so don't miss on them!
People have been amazed by the thickness of the brand new Fall 6x6 paperpack, Sweater Weather - 6x6 Paper. How GORGEOUS is it?!
And of course, a brand new all-in-one stencil called A Walk in the Park - 6x6 Stencil !
For my card today I played with quite a few of the new dies and a couple of the older ones to create a fun fall shadow box card.
First I prepared my front frame and after I cut a panel from white cardstock I die cut it using the larger die included in the Scalloped Rectangle Frame Set and created the frame.
Next I prepared the base of my shadow box by cutting a white panel larger than the frame, so I would have enough to score and to create the folds.
Using different color cardstocks I die cut all the elements for my card. From white I die cut the Down Main Street Die and glued it behind the white frame. Next I die cut the Over the Hills Die from green cardstock and the Up a Tree Die Set from brown, yellow and orange cardstocks.
Using the At the Cloud's Edge Die I die cut from different shades of blue cardstock three layers and glued them to the base. Next I adhered the trees and over the brown hill from them, I glued the green one.
Next I glued the frame on the last fold from the base. Using two pieces of acetate I added two white clouds die cut from the In A Cloudy Sky Die Set.
To finish the card I white embossed a sentiment from the Happy Fall Sentiments on a vellum strip and glued it inside the box, on the interior fold of the base.
I really love how this one turned out since it's my first shadow box card.
That's it from me! Now hop around this short hop to see all the beautiful creations and new techniques used on them!
