Smile - Sizzix Handmade Card

Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my happy place! I hope you're having a wonderful and creative day.

For today I have a card made with two new die sets from the latest release from Sizzix, called Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 2PK - Birds and Stars and Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Sentiments designed by Pete Hughes.

For this card I went with a clean design and a gorgeous shaker element. You can use this die for so many other designs and styles with this set.

First I prepared a panel from white cardstock and I run it through my Big Shot machine using the birds die from the set creating the shaker window. Next, I glued a piece of acetate behind the die cut window. I added some foam tape and a beautiful sequins mix from Pretty Pink Posh and I adhered it to another white panel. 

Then I die cut the beautiful smile word die from the "Sentiments" die set multiple times and glued them together. To add more color to the card I ink blended the first smile die cut using some yellow and orange Distress Inks. 

Next I glued the word to the panel and I white embossed the second part of the sentiment on a fuschia strip of cardstock.

Glued the panel on a light blue card base, added a few clear sequins and my card was done.
