Color into my life - Sizzix Handmade Card

Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog! I hope you're having a wonderful and creative day.

For today I have two new cards made using an awesome die set from the latest release from Sizzix, called Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Splatter.

For my first card I prepared a panel from watercolor cardstock and I added clean water all over it. Then, on a piece of clear packaging I added a few of my Distress Inks (Fossilized Amber, Seedless Preserves and Cracked Pistachio) on it and applied them to my wet panel using the ink smooshing technique. After I got the result that I wanted I dried the panel with my heat gun and run it through my Big Shot twice using the Splatter die.

Next step was to add some twine in the center and a sentiment in the middle. I found an older Simon Says Stamp set that was perfect for my cards. I mounted the panel on a kraft card base, I added a few gold sequins and my card was done.

For my second card I used the die cuts from my previous card and glued them to a white card base. I added some dots with a gold pen for more interest. Then, I stamped in VersaMark and white heat embossed another sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp's set on a black piece of cardstock.

I glued a few sequins from the Crystal Rainbow Fusion by Studio Katia and my card was done.
