Wild Butterflies - Sizzix Handmade Card

Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my happy place! I hope you're having a wonderful and creative day.

For today I have a card made with a new die set from the latest release from Sizzix, called Sizzix Thinlits Die - Moroccan Tile and a beautiful stamp and die set called Sizzix Framelits Die w/Stamp - Wild Butterfly.

First thing I stamped the butterfly 3 times on a white cardstock panel. For the first one I used purple and pink, for the second one I used yellow and tangerine and for the last butterfly I used turquoise and navy blue. All the inks are Distress inks that reacts with water. 

After I stamped the butterflies I sprayed with a mini sprayer clean water all over my panel hoping that the colors will spread. When I saw that nothing was happening I realized that the cardstock wasn't watercolor. That's ok! I didn't want to throw away my work so I continued playing :)

To fill in the empty spaces I added some splatters using the inks from the butterflies. After everything dried I run the panel through my Big Shot machine using the Moroccan Tile die. Then, I die cut a few white cardstocks with the same die.

Next, I adhered everything on the panel and added some sentiments from a Create a Smile Stamps set white embossed on little black pieces of cardstock. 

I mounted the panel on a kraft card base and my card was done.
